4th Grade service project ideas – to do at classroom Valentines Day party?

<< 4th Grade service project ideas that can be completed in less than an hour?  I'm Angry! Is this seriously happening? >>

I’m trying to brainstorm ideas of things that a group of 25 4th graders could do in an hour (or less) during their classroom Valentines Day party. Something to carry the grade school theme of ‘friendship & caring’ which is more what V-Day is about, at that age. I want it to be a fun party for them, but would also like them to feel that good feeling you get when you do something for others.

If nothing else, I’ll have a table where they can write letters & cards to the troops or to seniors at local nursing homes. Or, possibly, I’ll have them tie up & decorate a fleece blanket or two, to donate to a local hospital children’s ward through Project Linus.

Do you have any other ideas for me?
