What type of college can I go to ?

<< What are my chances of getting into a good UC like UCSD?  Could I possibly get into NYU early decision? >>

I’m a high school senior, who was raised in another country until my junior year.I’ve taken some honors courses, got out of ESOL at the end of my junior year, and I have a 3.5 unweighted GPA, I’m also good at drawing and used to win contests back where I used to live. Since I didn’t do all my high school years in the US, I don’t have much community service, and I didn’t participate in clubs or sports here…What type of college do you think would accept me ?

What country? You can still send transcripts from the international schools you attended. Also, your time out of the country and your ESL status could be an interesting essay and the diversity could work in your favor. A college will accept you. Yale? Maybe not. But I see no reason why you should be limited from getting into a good school based on what you’ve said.

I have been in the same situation as you are now. I will just tell what I did.
I went to a two year school and took my honor certificate there, (you can also join the international honor society and do some volunteer work.)
It saved me about $80,000 since the school I wanted to transfer to costs about $51,000.
